Visual identity for the English Touring Opera’s
‘Baroque Opera from Venice‘.
English Touring Opera’s three operas by different composers, premiered at three different theatres – Handel’s Agrippina, Cavalli’s Jason and Monteverdi’s The Coronation of Poppea.
With no access to stage photography as the productions hadn’t premiered, the brief was to create a visual identity that captured the wit, humour and seductive qualities of 17th and 18th century Venice.
Arrangements of typographic elements distinguished the three Operas whilst maintaining a consistent approach, combined with the use of evocative imagery and colour.
A series of posters, brochures and flyers were produced for the Operas.
